My dear friend Edan Lepucki’s debut novel, California, was one of the big literary hits for 2014! Her book is weird, and fresh, and cinematic, and provocative—post-apocalyptic fiction about relationships. I couldn’t be prouder or happier for her! And she just announced that she sold her second novel, Woman No. 17! The publisher’s press release described it as “highly intelligent” and “sly,” the story of a woman, the woman’s family, and her sinister nanny! I love it!
And I love this photo of us, taken at her reading at Vroman’s. She looks like the stylish, charming author that she is. And I look like a crazed fan.
