It seems that it’s taken me six days to fully transition from 2014, but now I’m ready for 2015! And my reading list has started out strong: Meghan Daum’s candid and engaging book of essays, The Unspeakable and Other Subjects of Discussion; Mark Haskell Smith’s hilarious, upcoming (June) book on nudism, Naked at Lunch: A Reluctant Nudist’s Adventures in the Clothing-Optional World (My sweetheart and I have been putting my new vocabulary word–“anti-textile”–to good use); and, in my personal response to the North Korean terrorists/hackers’ attack on our freedom of speech, I read Without You, There is No Us: My Time with the Sons of North Korea’s Elite, a fascinating and risky memoir that sheds light on the darkness that is North Korea. Theme for my 2015 book list so far? Bravery. Here’s to a brave, bold, beautiful 2015!
